Hiya! Welcome to DinDin Tonight. The name of the blog came from my husband, who almost every night asks me “What’s for dindin?”. Once I decided I would enter the blogging world, I knew what to name my blog. šŸ™‚

I am an Environmental Engg. and have been in the US since last 7 years (I am from Gujarat, western part of India). I came to the US to go to grad school at UCLA. I stayed in LA for four years and made some amazing friends who I miss horribly sometimes. I met J online (that’s a long story, will post it sometime) and we fell in love. We got married and I moved to Dallas where I have been since last 3 years. I am turning into quite a Texan now..didn’t even think I would ever!

I have always loved food since I can remember. I also enjoy cooking once in a while..but since last few years I tried to take the easy way out..eat frozen or take out. Howver, reading all the other blogs, I realized how healthy and fun (most of the times) it was to cook. J being born and brought up in Texas and a non-vegetarian and me being a vegetarian, we sometimes have a hard time figuring out what to eat. But after being married for 3 years, we have both learned a lot from each other, found a balance between two cultures and have found various vegetarian food dishes which we both love.!!

I hope you have fun reading the posts on my kitchen encounters. Thank you for stopping by and please feel free to leave a comment or a suggestion.

I once had some molasses cookies from someone that sounds just like you. They made them and then there husband brought them to the office and I think they may be the next best thing to “crack in a can” Those things are awesome. I will say you can make those anytime and have your hubby bring them up. They should really help my workout.

not to distract you from your main focus, but if you ever decide to post some easy gujarati recipes as well, i’d be very interested. (especially vegetarian recipes that arent about daals, potatoes or dairy).

ps: you know where to fedex the brownies.
